Title
Return of the shadow (影の帰還 = Kagi no kikan)
Plot
Yuu joins Urgard special course, but since there are no places left, someone with the lowest Star Rank had to be moved to the normal course. Since Nathan made a caustic remark about Yuu's "average child" appearance, he was chosen by him to leave in revenge.
Ashley is acting strange recently. It turns out it was because of Dino's return to Urgard. Dino meets with Ashley and we learn about his backstory. Then he is officially introduced to Magus in the Instructor Room. Yuu explains the second recapture operation of the Star Key in which Dino Chimera Lapistier is supposed to play the vital role of balancing elements, in case Elle is targeted by Felicia again. Suprisingly, Dino refuses to help and says that his only goal is to protect Ashley. Ashley doesn't want to force him to fight, because of what happened to her brother, Royce. Magus decide to continue the operation even without Dino and Ashley. [Levi]] finds Dino in the Chapel and tries to convince him to change his attitude, but he fails.
Magus go to the Avis Hills again and Ashley joins them in the end. They teleport to Boundary, where Dino already awaits them after beating some Felicia. It turns out that he can move alone to the Felicia realm with the power of his Chimera Lapistier. Ashley orders him to fight Felicia, but not as her servant, but as comrade in Magus.
Reinhart shows up again, but he only summons more Felicia for Magus to fight and disappears. After the fight, Heine is supposed to search for the Star Key, but suddenly Aulmorde appears with a bang. She offers Magus a fight over the Star Key, which they accept. After Aulmorde loses the fight, she hints that Magus should search for the Star Eyes, if they want to know the answers. She also says that after thousand years the time has come again. Miria has already descended and the Time of Judgement is coming. After that she escapes with her magical teleportation. Yuu suspects that Felicia gave them back the Star Key on purpose, because there was too little resistance.
Magus returns back to Urgard and report to the superiors. They decide to keep the Star Key in Urgard for safety reasons. Also Valerie asks someone to deliver some medicine to Nurse Fran which is supposed to have a hay fever and she's lying sick in her room.
